Q: Does every trainer and assessor need to be a content expert?

A: No, it is just good practice and if you get audited you must be able to show evidence that they can train in this unit and any currency.

 

Q: How do I make them a trainer / assessor?

A: This is done against the person’s record in Administration -> Persons.

 

Q: Why isn’t the unit in the mapping tab?

A: You need to add the units before you can map evidence to it. You can also select one or more units to save time, but the evidence must be mapped manually.

 

Q: I made them a content expert for a Qualification, why hasn’t it selected the units also?

A: Each Qualification has electives and therefore each qualification can be slightly different.

 

Q: Does the Evidence always have to be certificates?

A: No, evidence can be anything ranging from work experience to referee letters. You just need to show they have enough experience to teach in this area.

 

Q: The evidence I have uploaded is not available to map against.

A: Make sure you have validated the corresponding evidence.

 

Q: Can I track professional development in Tútis?

A: Yes, this is called currency in tútis. Read the above instructions as to how to upload this.
